TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Industrial Maintenance Technician in the Boerne, TX area! 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Repair and maintain a wide variety of food processing machinery, both packaging and labeling
• Experience working in food manufacturing or food packaging is a plus, but not required.
• Diagnoses malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Obtaining and maintaining knowledge on the mechanics of production and processing equipment and ensuring compliance with manufacturers requirements for maintenance.
• Familiarization with proper operating and troubleshooting procedures for FL Tecnics, Yamato and Matrix packaging machines, Combi Case Erectors, tape machines, and Batch, Dry, and Continuous Roasters.
• Familiarization with proper operating and troubleshooting procedures for Labeling Machines.
• Ensuring cleanliness of machine components during repairs by making use of airguns, approved cleaning solutions, cloths, vacuums or other appliances in accordance with food safety standards.
• Disassembling machine components with approved hand tools in the event of an equipment failure for the purpose of diagnosis or repair.
• Maintaining proper paperwork documenting the completion of repairs.
• Prepares work orders as needed for unscheduled maintenance and parts orders.
• Advises corporate management of any situations noted during equipment maintenance that pose a risk to the company, product assurance, employee safety or customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The purpose of the Machine Maintenance employee is to make scheduled and unscheduled repairs on all machines and related equipment used in production.
• 1 -2 years of equipment maintenance or operating experience within a manufacturing enterprise. 
• Must possess the technical, problem-solving, and mechanical skills needed for effective machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. 
• Must exhibit an outstanding ability to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of a variety of packaging, labeling, and processing machines. 
• Must be punctual and dependable. 
• Must be able to work with other personnel in a team environment and take direction from supervisors. 
• Must be able to comply with all safety and cleanliness requirements. 
• Must be able to climb ladders/steps, lift heavy equipment as needed, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently. 
• Must possess the manual dexterity to work on small and large machinery components, handle small tools and assemble/disassemble machinery while minimizing the risk of equipment damage. 
• Must be able lift at least 50 lbs., as needed.

PAY RATE

$18.00 per hour

SCHEDULE

12 Hour 4 day shift
