TMD Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a food manufacturer in Buda, TX.

This is a temp to hire, full time position. The perfect candidate will enjoy tinkering, troubleshooting and repairing equipment. The Maintenance Technician will perform diversified tasks such as, installing and maintaining production machines and upkeep the plant facility's equipment. They will be able to act on unscheduled/emergency repairs within the plant's hours of production in addition to perform the scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. This is a non-climate control facility. Open to be assigned to other tasks as needed.

SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY AND OCASSIONAL SATURDAYS

PAY: $19 TO $22 per hour DOE

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities

- Perform mechanical repairs

- Read and interpret manuals and work orders and be able to fulfill work orders

- Diagnose problems, R & R parts, test and make necessary adjustments

- Perform Preventive maintenance on machines and equipment and plant facilities

- Be able to comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2 + yrs of maintenance experience

- Be able to lift 40lbs unassisted

- Ability to read a multi/mega meter

- Be a fast learner

- Be a self-starter and not need constant supervision

- Detail oriented

- Be available for Over-time and on Weekends

- Know how to prioritize tasks

- Be able to follow specific procedures and instructions

- Be able to pass a background check and drug test

- Be authorized to work in the US
