TMD Staffing is actively hiring Production Electronic Tech's for a manufacturer of Security Systems and / or Security Equipment in New Braunfels, TX.  The Production Electronic Tech is responsible for testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and will perform routine maintenance of electronic production equipment.  The right candidate(s) will be flexible and able to move about to other duties as assigned. This position is resume and interview based.  TMD Staffing encourages candidates to submit certificates or licenses in addition to a resume for consideration of this position.  We are seeking employees with strong work ethics that are dependable and reliable. This is a temp-to-hire position.  


PAY RATE - $19.36 / HR

SCHEDULE - Monday to Thursday


SHIFT - 6AM to 4:30PM


JOB DESCRIPTION - 

  • Operate SMT and through hole equipment
  • Routine Maintenance on electronic equipment
  • Set up machines for individual PWA production and assist production staff
  • Do backups and restore machine databases as needed
  • Perform KISS machine offline programming and manage MSL components
  • Evaluate paste screen condition, order as needed in conjunction with production staff
  • Create test plans and tests to engineering specifications
  • Participate in product implementation and corrective actions related to electronic assemblies and test fixtures to support production testing
  • Completes first level test fixture troubleshooting and coordinates with engineering on corrective actions
  • Be able to perform minor test fixture repairs that won't require engineering support
  • Perform nonconforming activities related to non-function electronic assemblies
  • Procures material and tools needed to maintain electronics testing workspace
  • Provide electronic technical support for production as directed
  • Maintain record of daily reported issues and completed repairs
  • Maintain appearance standards and professional communication skills
  • Will be responsible to complete assigned work, efficiently and productively
  • Ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner to minimize backlog to meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with Quality Auditor to ensure all production output meets work instruction specifications to eliminate product variances, waste, and customer complaints
  • Maintains the cleanliness, organization, quality control and safety of work area
  • Follow company's established procedures, work instructions, safe working practices
  • Be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • QUALIFICATIONS - 
  • Associate degree in electronics and two years related experience; or a combination of education and/or related experience
  • Knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical engineering principles, mechanisms, testing procedures and circuit boards, processors and integrated circuits
  • Knowledge and familiar with basic Laboratory equipment such as Soldering Equipment, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators
  • Be able to use various soldering and wiring techniques
  • Skill in using various electronic testing equipment and measuring devices
  • Skill in designing and testing mechanical and electro-mechanical products
  • Be able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering designs, schematics and work orders
  • Be able to identify electronic product problems, form solutions and troubleshoot
  • Be able to use hand tools and measuring equipment and electronic testing equipment
  • Be able to perform mathematical calculations
  • Be able to effectively listen and communicate verbally and in writing
  • Be able to compile and maintain records, logs and organize reports accurately
  • Ability to operate office equipment and systems; computer, email, excel, phones etc.


REQUIREMENTS - 

  • Be able to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 75lbs, occasionally and/or frequently
  • Be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist/turn, and reaching, bend at the waist unassisted for long periods of time
  • Indoor / out-door work environment
  • Visual acuity, speech, hearing, hand eye coordination, utilize near and far vision, depth perception and manual dexterity necessary to work with various materials, objects and operate telephone, computer keyboard, basic office and shipping equipment which are all essential aspects of this position
  • Be able to pass a background check
  • Be able to pass a drug screen
  • Be able to legally work in USA
