Position: Assembly
Location: North/Central Austin
Pay: DOE
Shift: 1st and 2nd
Product Assemblers are handy individuals that like a fast pace work environment. They'll be expected to perform and have primary responsibility for product assembly in their work center including, but not limited to, setting up, adjusting, and building various furniture components. Utilizing documentation and expertise to produce assemblies, product orders, within a timely manner and within tolerances. Perform necessary quality checks, practice preventive maintenance, and perform general utility work to meet work schedule.
Duties:
- Methodical and procedural assembly of various furniture components.
- Operate and maintain various hand tools, power equipment (electrical and pneumatic), drills, saw, and measuring devices.
- Understand detailed architectural drawings, schematics, work order documentation, shop drawings, and blueprints.
- Inspect the assembled furniture products to verify they meet quality standards; pack the finished product and prepare for shipping.
- Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership, Perform inventory controls, and safe working environment.
- Be a role model for all production team members and to stay actively involved in developing the culture along with continued participation in culture crew events and activities associated with building our culture.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of customer requirements.
- Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to temperature ranges from 65 to 95 degrees F as well as low and high humidity ranges. The employee may on occasion be exposed to any number of adverse shop elements/odors.
- Capable of wearing and inspecting all Personal Protective Equipment for all job assignments.
- Ability to pass all pre-qualifiers (DS and BG)
