Job Title: General Labor Workers
Start Date: January 23, 2025
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities
- Physical labor under the supervision of Cirque’s site director.
- Assist with the event set-up and tear-down.
- Lift, carry, and install the following: Metal bleacher and chair structures, canvas tent pieces, floor pieces, distro boxes, floor panels, ramps, handrails, guardrails, fence panels, HVAC ducts, etc.
- Load and unload items from trucks.
- Pull and roll canvas with care.
- Unroll and pull feeder cables.
- General labor cleaning as needed.
- The maximum weight carried per person is 50 lbs, any weight over 50 lbs must be lifted with the assistance of other individuals.
The ideal candidate will:
- MUST have your own PPE including a hard hat, steel toe boots, a high visibility vest, and gloves if needed.
- Have knowledge of plumbing, tents, erecting grandstands, building temporary shelters, plumbing, and construction skills in building and assembling structures is an asset.
- Knowledge of safe loading, truck regulations, and strapping standards is beneficial.
- Must be physically fit, comfortable with shift work (day/night), and able to work on 6 ft ladders.
- Teamwork skills are essential; Must be able to work in a group with a common goal.
Schedule:
- Working Hours: Hours will vary. Must be available for the Day or Night shift.
- Working Days: Maximum of 5 days a week (Subject to change according to the show schedule)
