Job Title: Merchandise Retail Associate
Duration of the Show: February 5, 2025 – March 23, 2025
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities
- Have up-sell and sales experience.
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
- Collect payments, whether in cash or credit.
- Redeem coupons.
- Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the merchandise area.
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
- Bag, box, or gift-wrap packages.
- Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.
- (Sales Hawker): Assertive and competent selling of concession products around the front-of-site and inside the big top.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess the ability to learn a point-of-sale system and retain the information.
- Candidate must be outgoing, personable, vocal, energetic, and willing to engage with customers.
- Be comfortable working in a loud environment.
- Have a professional, clean appearance with a straight posture. Note: Employees are responsible for arriving in black shirts, pants and shoes (no logos).
- Be physically able to stand up for long hours.
- Understand customer service and hospitality.
- Work well with others.
- Pay attention to the details.
- Working fast and efficiently under pressure.
- Have a welcoming and friendly attitude (smile and proper greetings).
- Know when to get the help of a supervisor.
- Availability for the whole city duration.
- English speaking is mandatory – other languages are an asset.
Schedule:
- Working Hours: Hours will vary.
- Working Days: 5 days a week (Subject to change according to the show schedule)
