Job Title: Runner

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Start Date: January 23, 2025

Duration of the Show: February 5, 2025 – March 23, 2025*

*Shift Details: Will work through 1/23/25-2/3/25 for event set-up, then Wed-Friday during the show run, and you will be required to work every day during the event teardown process.

Primary Responsibilities

• Do all the errands, sourcing, purchasing, buying, pick-up, and delivery of local purchases for the Site Operations Department and other departments.
• Handling and balancing petty cash daily.
• Keep the CDS production vehicle clean and tidy (CDS provides the vehicle).
• Help the Purchasing & Administration Coordinator (PAC) source local suppliers for the next market.

The ideal candidate will...

• Be local and highly familiar with the area, capable of navigating without relying on GPS, and have knowledge of local hardware stores.
• Demonstrate trustworthiness and integrity, as you will be responsible for handling monetary transactions on behalf of your supervisor.
• Be adaptable and flexible, ready to adjust to an ever-changing schedule and visit stores on short notice to purchase necessary items. 
• Have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license, as you will be operating a company-issued van.
• Be physically capable, able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Exhibit teamwork and a positive attitude, fostering a collaborative and easygoing work environment.

Requirements:

• Cirque requires to obtain a report of the candidate’s driving record before hiring.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a very good driving record.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Interviews are REQUIRED for this role.
• Must know the city and places to source technical supplies promptly.
• Have knowledge of construction/technical materials.
• Must be trustworthy (will have cash for errands and/or credit card).
• Have good logistical and organizational abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and on changing schedules.
• Good knowledge of English and the language of the Region.
• Potential for heavy lifting, may work on one's feet for up to 10 hours, work in a loud environment.
• Availability for the whole city duration.

Schedule: Will work through 1/23/25-2/3/25 for event set-up, then Wed-Friday during the show run, and you will be required to work every day during the event teardown process.

• Working Hours: Hours will vary. 
• Working Days: Typical working days include Wednesday-Friday and Saturdays during set-up and tear-down. (Subject to change according to the show schedule and additional days may be required as needed)
• Candidates MUST be available and have a flexible schedule.
