Deburr Technician

Job Description
TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Deburr Technician for a well-known client in the Houston area!
This is a Temp-to-Hire Opportunity! Will be responsible for set-up and operation of all equipment required to turn broach, and balance impellors. DAY and NIGHT shifts are available! ***NO Education is Required!!***
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and comprehend the blueprint of a workpiece.
- Make setups and adjustments to assure proper alignment of parts.
- Lift, position, and secure workpieces as needed to turn or balance.
- Make manual adjustments by grinding or drilling.
- Check and inspect work for conformity to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Assist in a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Work under immediate supervision.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Safely operate air-powered tools, i.e.: die grinders, right angle grinders, air drills, etc.
- Clean, polish, and remove burrs from manufactured parts
- Clean and Gauge threads
- Blend blemishes/imperfections while maintaining tolerance/finish requirements
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Able to work in tight spaces and from heights when required.
TOP SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must have previous work experience in heavy labor positions.
- Must have experience operating power tools, grinders, etc.
- Previous forklift and overhead crane experience.
- Comfortable with working at heights.
- Must have previous work experience cleaning and deburring parts.
- Previous machining experience (Does not have to be CNC - Any machining is acceptable!)
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Able to read and understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, and bills of material
- Read and follow shop routers and work instructions
- Use inspection gauges to ensure quality parts, i.e., caliper, micrometer, profilometer etc.
- Operate radial arm drill press
- SCHEDULE:
Day Shift - 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Night Shift - 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM ($2 Shift Differential Offered for Night Shift!)
- Must have the availability to work weekends and 15-20 hours of overtime per week.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Prior machine shop experience working in deburr, grinding, buffing, and blending finish machine parts.
