TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Lead Carpenter / Journeyman in Houston, Texas! (77093)

Work Environment: In-Person 

Location: Houston, TX 77093

Schedule: 40 hours + work weeks

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

Tasks: 

• Provides Leadership, instruction, and guidance to craft workers in the work crew. 
• Provides assistance to Foreman.
• Displays a positive attitude towards Safety, Quality, Policy and Procedures.
• Has the knowledge of and exercises all of OSHA.
• Complete a qualified Job Safety Plan identifying the hazards and risks.
• Select and use proper PPE as identified on the JSP.
• Demonstrate proper site preparation prior to scaffold erection, modification, or dismantling.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, instructions, and other documentation.
• Observe safe practices and use proper ladder-climbing techniques.
• Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Participate and mentor crew to lead toolbox talks on Safety and Performance.
• Promote and Build Team attitude and complete other duties as required by Supervisor.

Requirements: 

• Scaffold tools are required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Overtime and night shifts are possible.
• Scaffolding experience preferred.
