TMD Staffing in Kyle, TX is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician for a food manufacturer in Buda, TX.

This position has potential of transitioning to a permanent job. Reliability, Dependability and Strong Work Ethics are a must!

The perfect candidate will enjoy tinkering, troubleshooting and repairing the production equipment at a food manufacturing facility. The Equipment Maintenance Technician will perform diversified tasks such as, installing and maintaining production machines and upkeep the plant facility's equipment working properly. The perfect candidate will be able to act on unscheduled/emergency repairs within the plant's hours of production in addition to perform the scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during time of operation. This is a non-climate control facility. Must be flexible to be assigned to other tasks as needed.

SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY, SOME SATURDAY'S AND AVAILABLE ON DOWN TIME

SHIFT: 3:30pm - 12:00am 

PAY: $19 TO $22 per hour (Depending on Experience) 

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain all plant equipment to original manufactures specifications.

- Organize shop and ascertain that spare parts are in stock and achieve a neat and organized working environment

- Perform mechanical repairs on production equipment and facility structure

- Formalize an equipment start-up list to make sure that the plant starts up on time

- Read and interpret manuals and work orders and be able to fulfill work orders

- Diagnose problems, Repair and Remove parts, test and make necessary adjustments

- Perform Preventive maintenance on machines and equipment and plant facilities

- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to make sure that little or now downtime is experienced

- Be able to comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2 + yrs of maintenance experience

- Be able to lift 40lbs unassisted

- Be a fast learner

- Be a self-starter and not need constant supervision

- Detail oriented

- Be available for Over-time and on off days

- Know how to prioritize tasks

- Manage costs within the Repair and Maintenance Budgets as defined for the company's calendar year

- Be able to follow specific procedures and instructions

- Be able to pass a background check and drug test

- Have strong work ethics

- Be authorized to work in the US
