TMD Staffing in Kyle is hiring for 1st and 2nd Shift Packing Floaters for a food manufacturer in Buda, TX.  The right candidate will have experience working in a food manufacturing company and be familiar with the roles and tasks in the packaging department.  They will be dependable and reliable and be able to complete full shifts and schedule.  The candidate we select will be filling-in and adjusting to the tasks at hand.  High work ethics are welcome!  They will fill-in for employees on vacation, medical leave, breaks or any other shortages for all positions in the packaging area. Bilingual -  English/Spanish will be a great plus.  This is a temp-to-hire position and will transition to permanent hire once the probationary period is met.  This position is interview and resume based.  

SCHEDULE:   

1st Shift - 7am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (SAT mandatory when asked)

2nd Shift - 3:30pm - 12am, Monday to Friday (SAT mandatory when asked) 

Flexibility a must to end time if production needs to be completed.

PAY:

1st Shift:  $16.10 HR

2nd Shift:  $16.60 / HR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Be knowledgeable and willing to learn the tasks for multiple roles within the packaging department
• Know and be able to assist with replacing plastic in Arpac machine
• Know and be able to assist packers with changing of mandrel and cleaning tray maker
• Be able to assist glass depalletizer with pallets of glass
• Be able to perform case audits when assigned
• Assist label operator with wiping of lids or cleaning of jars and work table
• Monitor case packs going into Arpac ensuring proper wrapping
• Be flexible and wiling to perform additional duties as necessary 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Be able to pass a drug screen
• Have a decent background check
• Be legal to work in USA
• Have reliable transportation
