TMD Staffing in Kyle, TX is hiring Prep Cooks for a well known salsa manufacturing company in Buda, TX. We are needing solid employees with high work ethics that are looking for a future permanent home. This job is a temp-to-hire position and will transition to permanent once the probationary period is met. Prep cook experience working with mass preparation quantities will be a plus for the qualified candidate. These jobs are interview based and resumes are a plus. Being bilingual in English / Spanish is a great plus.

Pay:  $16.10 / HR

Schedules:

• 5am to 1:30pm, 9am to 5:30pm
• Monday - Friday (Saturday mandatory when asked) 

Job Description:

Select / weigh ingredients used in different salsas by following recipes: Washing, cutting, dicing, and mixing and labeling trays. 

Operate kitchen roasters, choppers and other food processing equipment

Use handheld scanner to issue material to jobs and move inventory in ERP system

Record operational and production data

Follow work orders and instructions on recipe cards

Maintaining work area clean and sanitized

Assist Kettle Cook when needed

Requirements:

• Experience in food handling
• Open to flexible schedule 
• Be able to stand throughout shift.
• Be able to lift 30-35lbs.
• Be able to follow recipes in English.
• Be able to wear Rubber/non slip shoes
• Not have a problem with repetitious hand movements
• No face piercings 
• No false nails or false eyelashes
• Have reliable transportation
• No jewelry on neck, fingers or wrists
• Be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Eligible to work in the USA
