TMD Staffing in Buda, TX is looking to hire Prep Cooks for a salsa manufacturing company in Buda, TX. 

This is a well-known customer that is needing solid employees that are looking for a future permanent home. Prep cook experience will be a plus for the qualified candidate.  The right candidate will be flexible and open to shift end times as this depends on production needs.  HABLAMOS ESPANOL!

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In-Person

PAY RATE  

1st Shift - $16.10 / HR   

2nd Shift - $16.60 / HR

SHIFTS  

1st Shift- Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday.  5:00 AM to 1:30 PM to end of prepping production.  Must be flexible for shift changes.  

2nd Shift- Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday.  1:30 PM to 10:00 PM to end of prepping production.  Must be flexible for shift changes. 

TASKS

• Prepping ingredients used to make different recipes by washing, cutting, dicing, and mixing ingredients to get ready to cook.
• Measure and weigh ingredients.
• Follow recipe cards
• Keep track of batches prepared
• Use a handheld scan gun to issue material to jobs
• Assist Kettle Cooks when needed
• Inspect food products and follow the guide of FIFO
• Maintaining the work area clean and sanitized.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in food handling is a plus.
• Open to flexible schedule.
• Be able to stand throughout the shift.
• Be able to lift 30-35 lbs.
• Be able to follow and read recipes in English
• Face masks.
• Eligible to work in the US.
