TMD Staffing is looking to hire Shipping/Receiving  in the Northwest area of Houston! 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In-Person (shop/warehouse environment)

RESPONSIBILITIES 

•    Handle shipping and receiving of product, inspection from supplies, specifically raw material and custom engineered parts using applicable measuring tools and test equipment.

•    Able to match supplier packing slip with correct product quantity. 

•    Prioritizes which inspections to perform based upon PO, workload, and job priorities.

•    Requires knowledge of inspection procedures and processes in a manufacturing environment

•    Comprehensive knowledge of inspection concepts and principles including the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and manuals.

•    Utilizes various inspection tool such as Calipers, Thread gauges, etc. to check dimensions / processes on parts or raw material to ensure compliance to manufacturing drawings/blueprints/specifications.

•    Performs Mechanical, visual, and dimensional inspections of parts using inspection hand tools.

•    Communicates with QC Manager & internal Buyers on quality issues

•    Works Closely with Quality Inspectors, project Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.

•    Responsible for maintaining inspection logs and audit production documents, including generating and tracking of Non-Conformance Reports.

•    Interprets production Work Orders and list of materials, using drawings to complete Work Order Kitting. 

•    Able to use POWER equipment to safely unload material and sperate freight by supplier and/or product type

•    Lead team of receiving personnel  

•    Contributes to continuous improvement projects for the Receiving Inspection Team.

•    Ensure accuracy of all related paperwork is completed 

•    Participate quarterly and annual inventory counts

•    Communicates professionally with manufacturing team, office personnel, vendors, truck drivers, etc.

•    Computer skills is required, use in-house ERP/MRP system to receive parts into inventory and provide accurate routing to next demanded location (inventory, next work order, job shelf) 

•    Undertake additional responsibilities or activities as required by the Department Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have shipping/receiving experience along with operating a forklift, identify part number and profiles, handle inventory counts, document control, and building pallets

Good math skills

PAY RATE

$16-18/hour
