TMD Staffing is looking to hire an Electrical/Maintenance Technician to join our team in Houston, TX! (77041) 

POSITION: Electrical/Maintenance Technician

LOCATION: Houston, Texas 77041

PAY RATE: $25.00 per hour

ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: Temp-to-Hire; Opportunity for permanent placement based on performance. 

SUMMARY: As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair shop equipment. This includes offshore plugs, cables, distribution boards, welding machines, HVAC systems, overhead cranes, and forklifts. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and assist with piping and structure projects as needed. The role pays $25 per hour, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.  

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repairs of offshore plugs, cables, distribution boards, junction boxes – some electrical certification to be provided
• General office repair (lights, doors, desks)
• Repair of welding machines, grinders, post-weld heat treat machine
• Diagnose and if possible repair HVAC
• Diagnose and if possible repair overhead cranes
• Diagnose and if possible repair forklifts

MAINTENANCE TECH QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
• Experience with welding machines, distribution boards, HVAC systems, overhead cranes, and forklifts preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work as a helper for piping and structure projects when maintenance tasks are complete to have a full 40 hour work week.
