TMD Staffing is looking to hire Shop Combo Welders (Pipe/Structural) in the Northwest side of Houston, 77040 area.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
In-Person, Shop, Flexible to travel offshore
QUALIFICATIONS
Have combo welding experience, pipe and structural
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS 6G WELDING TEST
Read WPS prior to welding to know heat, speed and electrical input (Structure WPS = 115ABS, Pipe WPS -= 105ABS)
Willing to work offshore, able to legally travel outside of the US
Able to work 40-84 hours weeks
Back welding not allowed on structural test, penetration must be clean and performed from one side only
Must have 5+ year's experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
Weld on pipe and structure
GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding)
SMAW (shielded metal arc welding)
FCAW (flux-cored arc welding)
Pass 6G test, weld various components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
Weld according to engineering specs on process piping, equipment and structural steel
PAY RATE
$30-32/hour in town (shop), $545-581/day off shore rate
SCHEDULE
Day shift, flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
