Wire Harness Assembly Worker – Georgetown, TX
TMD Staffing is hiring! We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Wire Harness Assembly Worker for a great opportunity in Georgetown, TX.
Pay: $18–$19 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
The ideal candidate is comfortable using hand tools, following instructions, and working carefully to produce quality products.
Responsibilities
- Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies using drawings and work instructions.
- Cut, strip, crimp, solder, and insert wires into connectors.
- Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, and torque drivers.
- Inspect finished products to make sure they meet quality standards.
- Complete production and quality paperwork accurately.
- Report defects or problems to the supervisor or quality team.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Handle wires, connectors, and finished products carefully.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of wire harness, cable assembly, or similar assembly experience preferred.
- Entry-level candidates with good mechanical skills may be considered.
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams, drawings, and written instructions.
- Experience with crimping, stripping, soldering, and connector assembly is a plus.
- Good attention to detail and ability to spot mistakes.
- Basic computer skills are a plus.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with aerospace, electronics, or electromechanical assembly.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is a plus.
- Soldering experience is a plus.
