TMD Staffing is looking to hire an Auto Mechanic in South Houston
WORK ENVIRONMENT
In Person
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other vehicle components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Perform state inspections (if certified) and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair orders, and parts inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of automotive or diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read repair manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
• Experience using computerized diagnostic tools and hand/power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PAY RATE
$18.00
SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
