TMD Staffing is looking to hire Shop Combo Welders (Pipe/Structural) in the Northwest side of Houston, 77040 area.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In-Person, Shop, Flexible to travel offshore

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have combo welding experience, pipe and structural
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS 6G WELDING TEST
• Read WPS prior to welding to know heat, speed and electrical input (Structure WPS = 115ABS, Pipe WPS -= 105ABS)
• Willing to work offshore, able to legally travel outside of the US
• Able to work 40-84 hours weeks 
• Back welding not allowed on structural test, penetration must be clean and performed from one side only
• Must have 5+ year's experience 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Weld on pipe and structure
• GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding)
• SMAW (shielded metal arc welding)
• FCAW (flux-cored arc welding)
• Pass 6G test, weld various components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
• Weld according to engineering specs on process piping, equipment and structural steel

PAY RATE

$30-32/hour in town (shop), $545-581/day off shore rate

SCHEDULE

Day shift, flexible to work overtime and weekends
