TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Forklift Driver  in the Conroe area , 77040 area!

A forklift operator works in warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, docks, and construction sites. Their primary role is to ensure efficient material flow while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy. 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Material Handling

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move goods between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. 
• Load and unload trucks and trailers; position pallets safely in assigned bays. 
• Transport raw materials to workstations and return finished goods to staging areas. 
• Handle hazardous materials when required, following proper procedures. 

Inventory Control

• Verify, label, scan, and track inventory using RF scanners or WMS systems. 
• Support picking, packing, staging, and trailer loading tasks.
• Rotate stock using FIFO and assist with cycle counts and audits. 

Safety & Compliance

• Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections (OSHA-required). 
• Follow facility traffic rules, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines. 
• Maintain safe speeds, visibility, and proper fork positioning.
• Report hazards, near misses, and equipment defects immediately. 

Equipment Maintenance

• Conduct basic cleaning and minor upkeep of forklifts.
• Check batteries, fuel, and fluid levels; escalate mechanical issues

  $17-18 /hour

  
  

  SCHEDULE

  5am-3pm, Monday-Friday, flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
