TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Machine Operator in East Houston, TX!
Position Responsibilities:
- Feed plastic materials into the production machine safely and efficiently
- Operate and monitor machinery that processes and forms plastic into cylindrical products
- Assist with machine start-up, operation, adjustments, and shut-down procedures
- Monitor the machine during production to ensure materials are feeding properly and products meet quality standards
- Make basic machine adjustments as needed and notify the Lead Operator or supervisor of any mechanical or production issues
- Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products safely
- Inspect finished products for defects, proper shape, size, and overall quality
- Bag, tag, package, label, box, and palletize finished materials
- Use basic hand tools and equipment as needed
- Use computer systems and scanners to record production, time, inventory, and productivity
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and write in English and Spanish
- 1–3 years of machine operation, manufacturing, production, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred
- Experience operating manufacturing equipment is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product quality issues
- Ability to follow instructions and production procedures
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Hours:
Monday – Thursday (Fridays occasionally)
5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Pay:
$15.00 per hour
