TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Production Coordinator in the northwest side of Houston, 77040 area!

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate daily production activities on the assigned shift under the direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Production Lead.
- Distribute production charts and other required job documentation to each applicable workstation at the beginning of a job, shift, or production change.
- Verify that production workstations have the appropriate job book, production chart, work instructions, materials, labels, packaging, fixtures, and other required documentation or supplies needed to perform the assigned job.
- Provide day-to-day floor direction and support to production team members to help ensure production priorities, schedules, and established work standards are followed.
- Assist in assigning and positioning production employees based on production requirements, staffing needs, and direction from Production leadership.
- Train and coach production team members on the standards, instructions, quality requirements, and production expectations identified in the individual job book for each job being run.
- Reinforce established work instructions and standardized processes and promptly communicate questions, deviations, or concerns to the Production Supervisor, Production Lead, Quality, Process Technician, or other appropriate personnel.
- Provide break and production coverage when necessary to maintain continuous operation of equipment and work cells and minimize unnecessary production downtime.
- Serve as backup/support to the Production Lead when needed and assist with coordinating production activities during the Lead's absence.
- Monitor production activity throughout the shift and help identify conditions that could affect safety, quality, productivity, staffing, or on-time completion of work orders.
- Report and escalate concerns involving quality, processes, equipment, materials, staffing, or production performance to the Production Supervisor and/or appropriate support department.
- Work closely with Process Technicians, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials/Warehouse, and other support functions to help resolve production issues and maintain efficient workflow.
- Enter required shift and production data into the appropriate systems accurately and timely.
- Perform daily labor reconciliation for assigned work orders and assist with maintaining accurate production records.
- Support routine molding and/or quality machine start-up activities as trained and authorized.
- Complete lot acceptance and other assigned quality-support activities in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
- Use basic problem-solving skills to support stable operation of production equipment and work cells and escalate issues that require technical or management assistance.
- Monitor work areas for cleanliness, organization, safety, and compliance with established standards.
- Support and reinforce lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and standard-work practices.
- Participate as an active member of the production team and perform assembly, packaging, inspection, or other production activities when necessary to support operational requirements.
- Follow all company safety policies, Quality System requirements, documented procedures, work instructions, and established production standards.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be Bilingual in English/Spanish
- 2 years experience in fast-paced production/manufacturing environment
- Lead and/or supervision experience needed
- Train new staff
- Follow manufacturing processes, books, instructions, and/or work order forms
- Basic computer skills (data entry), handle basic math/calculations (decimals, fractions, etc)
- Must be “hands-on” employee
- High school diploma or GED required
PAY
$20/hour
SCHEDULE
7pm-3:30pm, Monday-Friday, flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
