Fabricator/Painter – Cedar Park, TX TMD Staffing is hiring experienced Fabricators/Painters for a leading manufacturing company in Cedar Park, TX. Pay & Schedule - Pay: $23–$28/hour DOE
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Monday–Friday
- Overtime as required
- On-site in an air-conditioned facility

Job Summary The Fabricator/Painter will fabricate, assemble, prepare, and paint components and equipment according to blueprints, engineering specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on fabrication experience, strong mechanical skills, experience using measuring tools, and industrial painting experience. Requirements - High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of fabrication experience
- Minimum 1 year using measuring tools
- Experience with industrial painting and surface preparation
- Experience using sprayers, brushes, rollers, and spray paint cans
- Mechanical aptitude and assembly experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Automotive fabrication experience is also welcome
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Stable work history required
Responsibilities - Fabricate and form sheet metal using press brakes, CNC laser cutters, shears, drill presses, band saws, water jets, and other shop equipment.
- Read blueprints, drawings, work orders, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Set up and operate CNC and robotic fabrication equipment.
- Assemble, tack-weld, and mechanically fasten components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and spot welding as required.
- Grind, sand, polish, and finish welds and surfaces.
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures to verify measurements.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, or blasting.
- Mix and apply primers, coatings, and topcoats using spray equipment.
- Inspect completed work and perform rework or touch-ups as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety and quality procedures.
Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
