TMD Staffing is seeking USDA Lead in Baytown Tx!

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee USDA import/export inspection activities, ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Supervise and train USDA Coordinators; provide guidance, support, and performance feedback.

• Serve as the main point of contact for USDA inspectors, customers, and internal operations.

• Review and approve health certifications, inspection documents, and product labeling.

• Address discrepancies or rejected shipments promptly, maintaining strong customer relations.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in USDA coordination, import/export compliance, or cold storage logistics.
• 1–2 years in a supervisory role required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in food science, logistics, or related field preferred.
• USDA compliance or HACCP certification required.
• BRC or OSHA certification a plus.

Skills:

• Leadership and communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Understanding of USDA import/export procedures

• Ability to multitask and use compliance/warehouse management systems

• Work in cold storage environments (as low as -10°F).

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift as needed.

Schedule: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (possible future changes)
Pay: $20–$22/hour
