Yard Worker (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Houston, TX (South Houston / Medical Center Area – 77054)

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Overtime: Weekly overtime available

Start Date: 01/12/2025

About the Role

TMD Staffing is seeking dependable Yard Workers for a client located in the South Houston / Medical Center area. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on outdoor labor experience who are comfortable performing physical work in an open yard environment with roof covering (no warehouse or A/C).

What We’re Looking For

• 6 months to 1 year of yard work, general labor, or outdoor work experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Required
• Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, standing, bending)
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
• Steel-toe boots required
• Background: No felony convictions within the last 7 years
• Strong attendance, reliability, and safety awareness

What You’ll Do

• Load and unload materials such as beams, pipes, and landscaping supplies by hand
• Organize and maintain the yard to ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quantity and quality, reporting discrepancies
• Operate and maintain equipment such as pressure washers and other material-handling tools
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support safety and efficiency

Bonus Points

• Previous experience working in an industrial or yard environment
• Familiarity with basic tools and material-handling equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
